This blog post is in partnership with JCPenney. School is starting soon, my friends and for some of you it may be in session! Time is limited and if you are like me, so is my back-to-school shopping budget. Even though I will be counting every penny, I don’t want to skimp on style and quality. This is why I am excited to tell you that back-to-shopping is #SoWorthIt at JCPenney. You can be confident that every pretty penny you spend is worth it!
JCPenney has been around since the beginning of the 19th century founded by James Cash Penney – don’t you just love that? I have been shopping there since a little girl with my mom in Utah. Now, as a mother of 3, it is so FUN to take my kids shopping at our local JCPenney in Laguna Hills, CA.
There are close to 900 locations nation-wide and this is the place to get all of your back-to-school needs! Moms you know that shopping with kids isn’t an easy feat! There are so many variables to contend with that make it stressful (i.e. time, money, effort, style preferences, hangry-ness, etc.,). But, I can testify that shopping with my kids at JCPenney was quick, easy, and fun.
Why? I find that the store is stocked well with a variety of sizes and price tags are easily seen and legible. Shelves and racks are also within reach for my kids so it makes it effortless to select items with ease. There is friendly customer service which I appreciate and expect. JCPenney has a variety of on-trend clothing and home pieces you will just LOVE!
My kids love that JCPenney carries on-trend clothing and accessories. At this age, they are picky and expressing their individuality is pivotal at this stage in their lives. I am happy knowing that their picks at JCPenney is well worth it – because I only want to purchase clothing items they will actually wear.
I love that each garment is priced to buy at a great value. Check out these contemporary brands that are exclusive at JCPenney (scroll below). You will be surprised at how affordably priced they are! They are perfect brands to select for your back-to-school outfits or any occasion for that matter.

Emi’s Back-to-School Style
Emi is my fun, brilliant, free-spirited 13.5 year old daughter. She is looking forward to starting school as an eighth grader in style. Boy, did she love shopping at JCPenney! The destructed denim gives her the edge she wants without going overboard. This type of jean style – jeggings, provides her the support and comfort she craves as she makes her way around campus.
I love her neutral colored trendy top that has a cool lace up detail at the neckline. Emi loves this “Fearless” graphic t-shirt! Her pink colored sneakers gives her outfit that perfect pop of color. And, we definitely can’t forget about her on-trend floral embroidered flap backpack that is both super cute and functional! Way to go Emi!

Chloe’s Back-to-School Style
This is my sweet Chloe who is 11 and heading into her first year of middle school as a sixth grader! I can’t believe my little girl is heading into middle school? Chloe is warm, generous, kind, and super hilarious! She always is cracking jokes and gets our family in stitches! Isn’t her outfit so fun!?! Normally, she is in full color and frills. But, she wanted a more mature look for back-to-school.
Her top is perfect! Comfortable and cute with the saying “Rise to Shine” in a chic gold metallic print (no longer available, but Chloe definitely recommends this fun graphic print t-shirt). She paired this look with charcoal colored jersey leggings as to not compete with the graphic tee. Her love for color and frills came boldly with in a statement worthy floral mini-backpack with bright gold metallic studs for interest.
The cute lace cat ear headband provides that fun tween whimsy look that will get all her girlfriends talking! The black and white dots sneakers is the perfect patterned neutral shoes for everyday school looks.

Elijah’s Back-to-School Style
Raising a son is throwing me for a loop! Most moments he is so sweet, fun-loving, and kind and then this little Savage can be exactly that, a savage! Tormenting his sisters and asking me unrelenting requests for ice cream breakfast, lunch and dinner! Elijah is turns 7 this November and is heading to 1st grade at a Spanish immersion elementary school. I am so proud of him!
Elijah loves his clothing to be no-fuss, bright, and “man-ly.” He does have an opinion of what he likes to wear which comes to me as a surprise because I didn’t realize little boys care. But, boy do they! He choose this long-sleeved top because of the camouflage print sleeves which has a funky print of a fox wearing headphones! The bright turquoise (Hawaiian Ocean) chino shorts for boys fits the bill for his love of bold funky colors.
His navy blue and red FILA Finity Runnning shoes provide him support and comfort to move confidently throughout school and especially recess. The bright yellow details in his City Streets Extreme backpack give his urban backpack a fun vibe!

DEBBIE’s Back-to-School Style
I can’t let my kids have all of the fun!?! This fashion forward mama knows how to shop and she does it well. JCPenney has what I want at the prices I need. I just love that! My style ranges from sporty, feminine, glamorous, and casual cool. This back-to-school look has me ready to drop the kids off in panache! This outfit is perfect for meetings, errands, and lunch get together with my girlfriends. As busy as moms can be — it is so important to connect with your friends.
This JCPenney relaxed fit v-neck short-sleeve white t-shirt is a wardrobe staple every mama needs. It is comfortable and the cut is contemporary. I like to tuck in the front to show off my choose of denim. These high-waisted embroidered crop denim jeans are to die-for! In fact, my daughter already has plans to borrow them.
Though the style forecast calls for booties in the fall, I still love wearing wedge sandals, one of the many perks of living in Southern California — the warm weather. I am the accessorizing queen and this black and white stripe crossbody bag from Liz Clairborne is AMAZING! My statement necklace is the perfect touch to finish my entire look by incorporating another layer of visual appeal. #SoWorthIt
