My week consists of all types of errands, and some can be quick while others seem to take forever. For example, I dread grocery shopping at Costco because it can turn into such a lengthy outing. Often, my husband will go for me, thank goodness!
When I have returns, I usually save them all for the end of the week, load up the car with everything, and try to tackle them in one outing. That way, I can crank them all out at once and be done with it. Running errands has become somewhat of a strategic practice, especially when time is limited.
Even on an errand day, though, it’s important to me to feel put together. When I take a little extra time with my outfit, I feel good—and honestly, I don’t need a major occasion to prioritize myself. Sometimes looking a little more polished for an ordinary day is reason enough.
I’m wearing the Fabletics Modal Rib Built-In Bra Halter Top, a white ribbed halter that gives me the polished look of a fitted tank with the added convenience and support of a built-in bra. It feels so comfortable on and is such a versatile piece. The built-in bra gives me great support; however, the fabric is quite thin, so keep that in mind. I wear my Cakes Sticky Cakes Triangles (wearing size OG) in Caramel underneath for the extra coverage I need.
I’ve seriously been on the lookout for a cute and comfortable mini skirt, and this one from Fabletics is perfect. The On-The-Go Ultra Mini Skirt is made from four-way stretch, sweat-wicking fabric and even has a hidden pocket which is always a bonus when I’m out and about. It’s comfortable, flattering, and easy to move around in. I love it so much I want one in every color!
Together, these pieces make such a cute everyday errand outfit. I feel comfortable enough to tackle everything on my list while still feeling polished and put together.
Let’s talk about how I styled this outfit because styling is one of the best ways to bring your own individuality to a look. I was going for a clean-girl aesthetic, so I pulled my hair back into a single braided ponytail and added a pair of large pavé crystal hoops. I will forever be obsessed with hoops!
Eye protection is a must, and these Maui Jim Makamae Polarized Sunglasses were actually such a great Costco find. I’m not sure if they’re still available there, but I have them linked here. I love their classic design and how easily they work with an everyday look like this one.
My husband gifted me this stainless steel ESQ Swiss watch with a diamond bezel and mother-of-pearl dial, and lately I’ve been loving wearing women’s watches again. I think I’m officially over wearing my Apple Watch every day! A beautiful watch feels like jewelry for your wrist and adds such a polished, feminine touch to an outfit.
Finally, I finished the look with my heeled sandals from DSW. They give me just enough height to feel feminine and dressed up without the discomfort of a higher heel. Comfort is especially important to me when it comes to shoes, so finding a pair I can actually wear while I’m out running errands is always a win. I’ve been making a bigger effort to look my best even when I’m just running errands because, honestly, life is too short to feel unkempt! LOL. I genuinely feel better when I put a little time into my hair, makeup, and what I wear. At 49, I don’t want to waste time not doing the little things that make me feel beautiful and confident. Even putting together something as simple as an “errand outfit” can be a sweet little act of self-love and a reminder that you’re worth the effort.
