My Current Hair Care Routine

I love getting DMs from you guys on Instagram. If you are not following me, please do so at my new IG account @tothineownstylebetrue. One of you fab ladies asked what products I am using for my hair and I will be answering that here because I know this information would be helpful to many.

There are myriad hair products out there and I have tried plenty. My goals for my hair are to keep my hair healthy so that it can continue to grow, delay the growth of gray hair, stimulate re-pigmentation, and get shiny, fuller hair.

Lately, I have been using the Arey hair care system for slowing my gray hair and the Olaplex hair care system to improve my hair health. I will use Arey products for one wash and for the next hair wash, I alternate with Olaplex.

For additional shine, I use IGK Expensive Amla Oil Hi-Shine Topcoat in the shower, which is an in-shower gloss treatment to protect, and enhance color and shine. I do this once a week.

My wonderful hair stylist told me to nourish my hair every night before going to bed with hair oil to lock in moisture and prevent fizz, tangles, and splits. I was using Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil and it works amazingly! I ran out of that and am now using what my stylist uses on my hair — Milbon Smooth Luminous Softening Oil for Coarse Hair. I love this one even more because it has a light fragrance and my coarse hair soaks it up, becoming soft and smooth.
