With three kids who all have distinct style preferences and not to mention an affinity to fashion (just like their mama) — Kohl’s is the perfect place for ALL of us!

Back to school is an important time for kids. My eldest daughter Emi, who will be entering 8th grade, wants styles to reflect her casual cool personality and flatter her body type. Chloe who is my little fashionista, tells me she is nervous about going to middle school! Understandable right? I am so glad the my girls will be attending the same school together. Chloe loves her clothing to have feminine details that are comfortable and easy to wear.

And, my son Elijah who will be a first grader, loves clothes with bold striking colors with fun graphics. He needs essentials that are high quality to allow him to move comfortably without falling apart after a few wears. As his mother, it is important for me to select stylish core pieces (like a good pair of shoes and denim jeans) that he can wear all year long. I want my little man to look great while he is on the go!

This year Emi wanted a really cute drawstring backpack to carry her gym shoes and notebooks to class. She loves this sequin drawstring backpack we found at Kohl’s.  It is great because after school she uses it to carry her ballroom shoes to the dance studio for practice. It’s perfect!

Emi loves high-top sneakers!  She has been wearing them since kindergarten. It is a style of shoes you really never grow old of. The current ones she is wearing is the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Metallic High-Top Sneakers which is currently unavailable. Chloe has always been a little princess. She loves all things soft, floral, and flowy. It came to no surprise that for her Back-to-School outfit she selected this cute graphic daisy skater skirt. This new middle schooler felt this look would only be complete with her own Candie’s Lucy Velvet Flap Crossbody Bag to store her new student ID card, lip gloss, and cell phone (only to be used only for emergencies and not during class). This particular bag is no longer available. But, I have linked a similar crossbody bag for you below that is so cute and functional.

This little guy Elijah to be quite honest with you, wishes that summer would last forever! The thought of returning back to school is very hard for him. He is a little homebody that enjoys hanging at home without a shirt on, running around in our backyard with our puppy!  He is a bundle of joy and energy! Best wishes to his new first grader teacher!

**Okay, we went over by $4.70 with Elijah first day outfit but I still feel good about our selections!

I still find myself in awe that I am a mother of three kids! Motherhood is the hardest job in the world! And now that I am a working mom, the work-home life balance is a difficult task. Though working from home is a huge blessing, I need to consistently enforce boundaries for time management. Good time management skills allows you to achieve more in a shorter period of time which allows you to focus on what matters most — for me, it is my family.

All busy moms can attest the importance of great kicks to get you around town in style and comfort. I love my Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Breakpoint Shoes! It is my favorite pair of shoes. The light gold finish makes me look like a superstar! Don’t forgot the importance of a good canvas tote, my friends! My  Tri-Coastal Design “Eat. Sleep. Shop. Repeat.” Canvas Tote from Kohl’s is a keeper. Perfect tote to stash all of my essentials. The pom-pom details are on trend this season!

  24. Kohl’s is one of my favourite places to shop when I visit the US. It’s definitely one of those places that I make sure to visit. Only downfall, is according to the website, items do not ship to Canada.
